Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The odds ratio for improvement on a 7-point ordinal scale* on Day 15. [*The scale is as follows: 1) Death, 2) Hospitalized, on invasive mechanical ventilation or Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), 3) Hospitalized, on non-invasive ventilation or high flow oxygen devices, 4) Hospitalized, requiring low flow supplemental oxygen, 5) Hospitalized, not requiring supplemental oxygen - requiring ongoing medical care (COVID-19 related or otherwise), 6) Hospitalized, not requiring supplemental oxygen - no longer required ongoing medical care, 7) Not hospitalized.]

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1)Time to PCR negativity of the swab solution 2)Duration of heat generation 3)Percentage of improvement in imaging findings 4)Period of time until improvement in imaging findings is confirmed 5)Percentage needed/ period of time until needed/period of implementation of supplemental oxygen/ Ventilation/ECMO 6)Period of hospitalization 7)Survival period.
