Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patients aged 20 to 89 years who were admitted for elective thoracic surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pneumothorax, hydrothorax, hemothorax, pyothorax, chylothorax, median sternotomy, psychiatric disorders that inhibited participation, and inappropriate participation
