Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients 1. Aged between 20 and 80 years old 2. Individuals who have been diagnosised as patients with peripheral neuropathy derived from diabetes mellitus 3. Individuals who have mild or moderate superficial sensory disorders in their toes 4. Capability of informed consent based on their own decision Healthy subjects 1. Aged between 20 and 80 years old 2. Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Individuals with a history of head trauma 2. Individuals with a history of organic brain or spinal cord disease 3. Individuals with heavy superficial sensory disorders 4. Individuals with heavy pain sensation and nubness in their foots or toes 5. Individuals with motor dysfunction in their fingers 6. Individuals with a history or current history of drug dependence 7. Individuals who have a history of disorders of consciousness and/or seizure 8. Individuals who have a chronic headache 9. Individuals who are unable to undergo MRI 10. Individuals who are unable to undergo TMS 11. Individuals that researchers decide that they are inappropriate for study participation
