Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The eligibility criteria for inclusion in the study were inpatients who (a) were newly diagnosed with MM, (b)intended to undergo chemotherapy and go into either Nagoya City Universal Hospital or Kainan Hospital or Nagoya Memorial Hospital or Nagoya City West Medical Center, (c)were over 20 years, (d)were the ability to understand the Japanese language.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were patients with (a) clinically diagnosed severe mental or cognitive disorders and/or (b) not enough to complete the survey questionnaire by primary care doctor
