Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients undergoing general anesthesia and being unable to take preoperative oral fluid

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Unable to reliably assess caliber, respiratory variation and flow of either IVC or SVC with echocardiography
