Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients from Toho University Omori Medical Center, Department of General Medicine and Emergency Care.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with acute respiratory symptoms or those who used antibiotics within the last 4 weeks were excluded. We also excluded individuals with a history of palatine tonsillectomy or those who were unable to be sampled correctly for anatomical reasons.
