Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) histologically confirmed chordoma of the skull base and upper cervical spine, 2) inoperable tumor, 3) age between 15 and 80 years, 4) Performance status score <2, 5) no distant metastasis, 6) grossly measurable tumor,

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) prior radiotherapy to the C-ion RT-treated area, 2) chemotherapy within the past 4 weeks, and 3) serious medical or psychological conditions precluding the safe administration of treatment.
