Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) patients of age 18 or older 2) patients with locally advanced or metastatic cancer (histological, cytological, or clinical diagnosis) 3) patients admitted to the participating Palliative care units

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) patients with scheduled discharge within a week 2) patients or their families who decline participation.
