Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: histologically confirmed adenocarcinoma of the middle or lower rectum clinical Stage II or III preoperatice chemoradiotherapy PS (ECOG) 0 or 1 written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previous treatment with radiotherapy
