Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Severe bacterial or fungal corneal ulcers that affect pupillary lesion, presumably inducing impairment of visual function. 2. High risk for corneal perforation by conventional treatment with antibiotics.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Non-infectious corneal ulcers. 2. General diseases influencing wound healing in the ocular surface. 3. Pregnancy or breast feeding.
