Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Twenty patients who were going to undergo ESD for superficial EC between September 2013 and February 2015 at Niigata University Hospital, were enrolled in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who needed any additional anticancer therapy (surgery, chemotherapy, and/or irradiation) after ESD were excluded. The patients whose HRM results were poor were also excluded from the study.
