Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) High risk patient for deep vein thrombosis after orthopedic surgery (a guideline by The Japanese Orthopedic Association). 2) The patient can provide informed consent to enroll the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Malignancy or suspected malignancy 2) Blood platelet count <= 100,000/microL 3) Congenital bleeding tendency
