Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All trials that included a component comparing glucocorticoids with placebo that evaluated the QoR after general anesthesia were included in this study. We included studies in which the QoR was not evaluated using a QoR-40 score for the qualitative synthesis (systematic review), but excluded these studies from the quantitative synthesis (meta-analysis).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: We excluded case reports, reviews, and animal studies.
