Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: all patients that are diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and need a surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previous surgery in the affected hand, trauma to the affected hand, inflammatory joint disease, mental disease, pregnancy, hypersensitivity to the tranilast
