Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Participants undergoing colonoscopy in the Center for Preventive Medicine, Keio University Hospital. - Inpatients with untreated gastrointestinal cancers in Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Department of Internal Medicine, Keio University Hospital.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Participants from whom we failed to take blood samples. - Participants who answered questionnaires incompletely. - Participants who did not undergo CT scan for calculating visceral fat areas.
