Inclusion criteria: primary idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: inflammatory joint disease, diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorder, pregnancy, trauma to the affected hand, previous carpal tunnel release surgery in the affected hand
