Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Eligible subjects were treated with glimepiride at dose of 3-6mg/day (with or without Metformin,alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, and Thiazolidinedione) for at least 3 months and HbA1c level > =6.9%.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects with type 1 diabetes mellitus, secondary diabetes, diabetic nephropathy stage 4-5, malignancy or other severe conditions, aged < 20, were excluded.
