Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery by full sternotomy: on-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve surgery, and surgery for thoracic aortic aneurysm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: no informed consent; urgent or emergent surgery; under another interventional study
