Inclusion criteria: Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes who were treated with diet therapy alone or with oral hypoglycemic agents other than alpha-GIs or DPP-4 inhibitors,

Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe liver dysfunction or renal dysfunction.
