A diffuser was filled with Yuzu oil before the subjects entered the aromatherapy room.The mother, while the child was receiving infusion in the same room, was guided about the use of the aromatherapy

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: We recruited mothers who attended on their sick child, who visited the hospital, whose child received intravenous infusion after evaluation by a doctor and who used a private room while the child was on intravenous infusion (infusion room).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: All mothers of children who arrived outside of the usual walk-in triage process, such as critically ill children who arrived by ambulance, were excluded.
