Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diabetic patients on stable regular hemodialysis who have HbA1c (NGSP) >= 4.6% and <= 10.0% (HbA1c (JDS) >= 4.3% and <= 9.6%) or glycated albumin >= 18.0% and <= 30.0%

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients treated with insulin Patients with severe liver dysfunction (AST >= 100 IU/L or ALT >= 100 IU/L) Patients with malignancy Patients with untreated diabetic retinopathy Patients disqualified by doctor for any reason
