Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Schizophrenics diagnosed according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 4th edition, and age and sex matched healthy subjects were recruited. Written informed consent was obtained for the participation in the study from all subjects.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants were excluded if they had a prior medical history of central nervous system disease or severe head injury.
