Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Hypertensive subjects (office blood pressure ≥ 140/90 mmHg) with type 2 diabeteswho visited our medical institutions as outpatients and have never been administrated any antihypertensive treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: subjects treated with corticosteroids are excluded from this study. In addition, subjects with secondary hypertension, severe renal and hepatic disease, overt cardiovascular disease, or malignancy are excluded.
