Patients with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction as well as hypercholesterolemia

Interventions

Hydrophilic statin dose: according to Japan Atherosclerosis Sociaty Guideline duration: 24 weeks Hydrophobic statin dose: according to Japan Atherosclerosis Sociaty Guideline duration: 24 weeks

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Echocardiography: EF>45%, E/A<1, Dct>=210msec 2. Total cholesterol<280mg/dL or LDL-C<200mg/dL 3. LDL-C levels are to be treated according to the guideline by Japan Atherosclerosis Society

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Statin treatment within 3 months 2. Possible change in treatment for hypertemnsion or chronic heart failure 3. Myocardial infarction in 1 month 4. Coronary angioplasty or bypass surgery within 1 month or possible coronary angioplasty or bypass surgery within 3 months 5. Active malignancy 6. Severe liver dysfunction 7. Serum creatinin > 2.0mg/dL 8. Steriod or immunosupressant use 9. Pregnancy or lactation
