Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Made on the basis of chest pain of > 30 min duration 2) ST-segment elevation of > 2 mm in two electrocardiographic (ECG) leads 3) More than threefold increase in serum creatine phosphokinase (CPK) activities 4)Fully informed consent was obtained

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Hepatic failure 2) Svere renal failure 3) Active cancer 4) Severe heart failure requiring mechanical support (mechanical ventilation, intraaortic balloon pumping, left ventricular assist device, or cardiac resynchronization therapy) 5) Requiring heart transplantation
