Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients had been receiving regular hemodialysis for at least 6 months at one of our three hospitals following the inception of dialysis therapy at Tsuchiura Kyodo General Hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who had a technically unsatisfactory echocardiogram
