Healthy lactating women

Interventions

Intervention group will take brown rice as every staple diet for 2 weeks. Control group will take white rice as every staple diet for 2 weeks.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Healthy women between 3 to 12 mo. postpartum. 2)Breastfeed routinely 3)Full-term delivery 4)Subjects are not receiving any medication known to interfere with lactation. 5)No extreme unbalanced diets 6)Subjects who can stop taking their supplements & vitamins 1 week before the study until end sampling. 7)Subjects who can collect sample between 12:00 & 16:00, using manual breast pump.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Before and After 2-weeks intervention, Lactoferrin, s-IgA, nucleotides and polyamine in milk as immunological aspect, and Amylase in saliva as psychological aspect will be measured.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Changes in emotion and health by 2-weeks intervention will be assessed by Profile of mood states and General health questionnaire.
