Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) diagnosis of mild to moderate COVID-19 pneumonia based on clinical manifestations, abnormal findings in computed tomography scans and confirmation by real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction assays from nasal and pharyngeal swab specimens; (2)aged 18-80 years old; (3) an index score of 50 or higher on the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS); (4) an index score of 45 or higher on the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS); (5) able to read and fill out the scales.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) history of severe mental illness; (2) not taking any antidepressants or anxiolytics within the one month before admission; (3) serious dysfunction of heart, lung, liver or kidney; (4) severe cognitive dysfunction; (5) dysphasia or aphasia.
