Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants were required to have a visual analogue scale (VAS) score 7 at baseline.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria included cranial nerves involvement, severe non-PHN pain that might compromise evaluation of pain caused by PHN, and skin disorders that might impair the therapeutic technique. In addition, female patients were required not to be pregnant or lactating
