Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Met the diagnostic criteria of Acute Gouty Arthritis by American Society of Rheumatism in 2012; 2. Aged 18-70 years and provided informed consent; 3. Acute arthritis limited <= 3 joints; 4. No current use of external use medications that may affecting the trial.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Joints skin breaks, lesions, or infections; 2. Skin allergy history to external use of CHM; 3. Diseases such as cancer, mental disorders, heart failure, or hemophilia that affect results determination; 4. Women with pregnant; 5. Being treated by CHM for other diseases; 6. With a low compliance to the study.
