50 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study is designed to include participants aged 50-80 years with diagnosis of mild AD according to NIA-AA criteria or with a CDR score between 0.5 and 1. The subject included are required to have no history of taking anti-dementia drugs systematically (donepezil excluded), and at least one reliable caretaker who can accompany the subject during treatment is also needed.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals will be excluded if they have dementia caused by other diseases other than AD, such as cer-ebrovascular diseases, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and Parkinsons disease; a history of psychological disorders (DSM-IV criteria); uncorrectable visual or auditory impairment that hampers the completion of related examination. Patients could not participate this study if they are allergic to acupuncture or pace-maker installed. Pre-menopausal women will also be excluded.
