Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Subjects aged 45-75 years; 2. Subjects with chronic knee pain (any leg) in the last three months; 3. Subjects with morning stiffness less than or equal to 30 minutes; 4. Subjects with overall average knee pain >= 4 (11 point number) rating scale (NRS) in the previous week. 5. Subjects with radiographic confirmation of KOA (Kellgren – Lawrence II or III (29)); 6. Subjects with written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Subjects with other diseases affecting the knee, severe coagulopathy, nervous system diseases and mental diseases; 2. Subjects with history of knee surgery or waiting for any knee surgery; 3. Subjects treated with acupuncture in the last three months; 4. Subjects with any other severe joint pain or nervous system disease that would limit the ability of the knee to move safely; 5. Those who were breastfed or pregnant.
