Colonization of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus by medical staff

Interventions

Decolonization Group:Apply the TCM formula extract for decolonization for 5 days (application to the nasal vestibule and bilateral axillae, twice daily).
Control Group:Apply Physiological Saline for decolonization for 5 days (application to the nasal vestibule and bilateral axillae, twice daily).

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Simultaneous fulfillment of the following three criteria: 1) Having worked continuously for over six months in a ward where methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus has been detected; 2) Detection of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus colonization through combined nasal vestibular swabs and axillary skin swabs; 3) Informed consent obtained and voluntary participation in the trial. The process of acquiring informed consent adhered to the regulations stipulated in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects meeting any of the following criteria are excluded:? 1)Local disease at the nasopharynx, or axilla and surrounding shoulder/back cutaneous soft tissues, rendering pharmacological intervention unsuitable;? 2)In the acute phase of infection (e.g., respiratory tract infection, urinary tract infection, skin and soft tissue infection) and currently receiving systemic or local antimicrobial therapy;? 3)Allergy to any of the pharmacological agents used for decolonization;? 4)Pregnant or lactating women.

MeasureTime frame
At different times after the intervention, the positive rate of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus was compared between the experimental group and the control group.;

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The positive rate of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in the experimental group decreased after the intervention compared with that before the intervention.;
