Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Meet the traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnostic criteria for knee osteoarthritis specified in the 2018 Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Osteoarthritis, with the condition staged as initial, early or moderate stage. 2) Aged between 45 and 75 years old (age > 45 years at enrollment, and age < 75 years at the end of follow-up and study withdrawal). 3) Predominantly unilateral lesions. 4) Voluntarily provide informed consent and sign the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with knee pain where knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is not the primary cause; 2) Patients complicated with severe diseases involving the heart, brain, liver, kidney, hematopoietic system and other vital organs; 3) Patients who received other treatments for KOA within the past two weeks; 4) Patients with cardiovascular diseases, asthma, gastrointestinal disorders, hemorrhagic diseases, those in the perioperative period, long-term alcohol drinkers, or individuals taking anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin); as well as those with suspected or confirmed history of drug abuse; 5) Pregnant women, women planning pregnancy, lactating women, and patients with mental disorders; 6) Patients with a history of allergy to lidocaine hydrochloride; 7) Patients with an implanted pacemaker (interfering with EEG tests); 8) Patients with photosensitive epilepsy (interfering with EEG tests); 9) Patients deemed ineligible for enrollment by the research team physicians for other reasons.
