Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age: =60 years 2. Meet =2 items of the Fried frailty phenotype: (1) Unintentional weight loss: >3 kg in the past six months (not due to dieting or exercise) (2) Low grip strength: 173 cm or females >159 cm, walking speed =0.76 m/s; for males =173 cm or females =159 cm, walking speed =0.65 m/s. (5) Low physical activity: Weekly activity <600 MET-min/week (assessed using the International Physical Activity Questionnaire Short Form, IPAQ-SF). 3. Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) score =24, excluding severe cognitive impairment. 4. Able to walk independently (without assistive devices) and complete gait testing. 5. Signed informed consent: voluntarily participate in the study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe neurological diseases: e.g., stroke, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, etc. 2. Severe motor system diseases: e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, severe osteoporosis, etc., affecting motor ability. 3. Severe cardiovascular diseases: e.g., unstable angina, recent myocardial infarction, etc., not suitable for exercise intervention. 4. Recent participation in other exercise interventions: regular participation in Tai Chi or other exercise training within the past 6 months. 5. Other: severe mental illness (e.g., major depression, schizophrenia). 6. Malignant tumors or other severe chronic diseases. 7. Rejection of or adverse reactions to scalp acupuncture.
