Interventions

Control Group:Receive routine hypertension care measures.
Intervention Group I:Received acupoint massage nursing intervention based on the theory of Zi Wu Liu Zhu in addition to the control group.
Intervention Group II:In addition to routine care, standardized acupoint massage nursing intervention was administered.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age = 65 years; 2) Western medical diagnostic criteria: meet the diagnostic criteria of the "Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension 2024 Revision" : without using antihypertensive drugs, systolic blood pressure = 140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure = 90 mmHg on three consecutive occasions on different days while seated; 3) Diagnosed as kidney-yin deficiency type hypertension according to the syndrome classification criteria of the "Traditional Chinese Medicine Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Plan" (2008 edition) [104]; 4) Skin at the acupuncture sites is intact; 5) Able to seek medical care independently and capable of physical activity; 6) Informed consent to participate in this study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases (e.g., acute myocardial infarction, posterior circulation hemorrhage, intracranial tumors); 2) Recent severe trauma or major surgery; 3) Accompanied by mental disorders, consciousness disorders, or dementia; 4) Severe liver, kidney, or cardiovascular diseases; 5) Participation in other hypertension trial phases or follow-up stages within the past 2 weeks, or receiving other treatments outside the trial therapy.
