18 Years to 50 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1). Meets the diagnostic criteria for functional ankle instability; 2). Age between 18-50 years, gender; 3). Time since the last acute ankle sprain to enrollment =6 months; 4). History of unilateral ankle sprain; 5). No evidence of bone abnormalities on ankle X-ray examination.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1).History of ankle joint surgery and fracture in the lower extremities; 2) .Acute injuries to the musculoskeletal structures of other joints in the lower extremities within one month prior to the formal trial; 3) .Ankle joint MRI showing cartilage damage or ligament rupture in the ankle joint; 4) .Presence of other neurological injuries that may affect balance function and muscle strength; 5). Presence of ankle skin allergies or other conditions unsuitable for manual therapy.
