Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Recurrent course with a disease duration of at least 1 month; (2) Age between 18 and 75 years; (3) Both genders; (4) Unilateral involvement; a trigger point with tenderness can be palpated in the upper trapezius on the affected side; Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score for tenderness = 3 points, accompanied by local functional impairment; (5) Willingness to voluntarily accept the treatment protocol specified in this study; (6) Signed informed consent and willingness to cooperate with the completion of this study.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients allergic to collagen thread or with sensitive skin; (2) History of trauma or surgery in the neck/shoulder region, or presence of wound infection, skin breakdown, or ulceration at the treatment site; (3) Organic lesions of the cervical spinal cord, history of cervical spine surgery, or cervical whiplash fracture; (4) Coagulation disorders or acute infectious diseases; (5) Organic lesions such as osteoporosis, spondylitis, bone tumor, myelitis, or severe cervical disc herniation; (6) Mental disorders; (7) Receipt of other treatments for this condition (e.g., acupoint catgut embedding, acupuncture, massage, physiotherapy, cupping, scraping, bloodletting) within one month; (8) Menstruating women, women planning pregnancy within 3 months, pregnant women, or lactating women.
