Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) It meets the TCM syndrome diagnosis criteria for acute gouty arthritis of damp-heat and toxin accumulation type; (2) It meets the diagnostic criteria for acute gouty arthritis in Western medicine; (3) Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score < 7 points; (4) Rule out other acute arthritis; (5) Aged between 20 and 65, without any major diseases; (6) The patient and his/her family members have given informed consent and signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Those who do not meet the above diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine or Western medicine; (2) Have received uric acid-lowering drug treatment within the last two weeks, or are currently receiving colchicine tablets or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticoid treatment; (3) Special groups such as women under 20 years old or over 65 years old, pregnant and lactating women. (4) Patients with serious diseases such as heart disease, acute cerebrovascular disease (including acute cerebral infarction, cerebral hemorrhage, etc.), severe liver and kidney diseases, hemorrhagic diseases, and mental disorders; (5) Those who are allergic to the components of traditional Chinese medicine or suffer from severe gastrointestinal diseases and cannot tolerate traditional Chinese medicine. (6) Those who are prone to fainting from acupuncture or cannot tolerate acupuncture treatment; (7) Those who have participated in other clinical trials in the past month; (8) Those who suffer from various infectious diseases, have allergic constitutions or have broken skin.
