Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age 18-75, any gender; (2) Meets Western diagnostic criteria for atherosclerosis (carotid ultrasound showing intima-media thickening or plaques, or coronary CTA/angiography showing coronary stenosis/plaques); (3) Voluntary participation with informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Combined with severe hepatic and renal insufficiency; (2) Pregnant or lactating women, or women planning to become pregnant; (3) Patients with malignant tumors, severe mental disorders or a life expectancy of less than 1 year; (4) Individuals unable to complete follow-up or with communication disorders; (5) Those who have experienced acute myocardial infarction, unstable angina, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) within the recent 3 months, or with planned revascularization and other interventional procedures in the near future; (6) Patients who have regularly taken other proprietary Chinese medicines or Chinese herbal decoctions with definite anti-atherosclerotic effects in the past 3 months and are unwilling to discontinue or unable to complete standardized washout; (7) Persons allergic to the components of Yiqi Huoxue Huatan Formula or with allergic constitution; (8) Those with severe infection, active autoimmune diseases or other conditions deemed ineligible for enrollment by the researchers.
