Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Compliance with both traditional Chinese and Western medical diagnostic criteria of Acute herpes zoster; (2) Age range of 18 to 70 years; (3) Onset within 1 week without prior treatment; (4) Voluntary participation and signed informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Failure to meet diagnostic or inclusion criteria; (2) Age 70 years; (3) Special types of herpes zoster (e.g., ocular, otic, disseminated types); (4) Concurrent severe systemic diseases or psychiatric disorders; (5) Use of medications that may affect efficacy evaluation; (6) History of needle phobia or intolerance to acupuncture therapy.
