Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Outpatients and inpatients diagnosed via gastroscopy and histopathology as having simple superficial gastritis, superficial gastritis with H. pylori infection, or atrophic gastritis with or without intestinal metaplasia or dysplasia. (2) Patients whose Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) pattern differentiation corresponds to the 'spleen deficiency with blood stasis' syndrome. (3) Aged between 18 and 75 years. (4) Patients must be alert, articulate, able to read, and capable of communicating effectively with the investigators. (5) Patients must be willing to undergo immunohistochemical testing and sign an informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Those with a history of gastric ulcers, gastric polyps or gastric surgery. (2) Those taking NSAIDs on a long-term basis. (3) Those with concomitant severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease, liver disease, kidney disease, haematological disorders or malignant tumours. (4) Those with suspected malignant gastric lesions, or a history of malignant gastrointestinal tumours or surgery. (5) Women who are planning to conceive, are pregnant or are breastfeeding.
