Physical and Mental Health

Interventions

Natural Environment Group:Participants will practice Baduanjin in fixed locations with high vegetation coverage and undisturbed conditions within or in the vicinity of the campus.
Indoor Environment Group:Participants will practice Baduanjin in fixed, well-ventilated indoor venues with adequate illumination within campus gymnasiums or fitness centers.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteria for Participants: (1) College students aged 18–27 years; (2) Physically inactive as assessed by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ); (3) Moderate-to-high stress levels screened via the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: (1) History of regular Baduanjin or Tai Chi practice; (2) Major chronic diseases contraindicated for physical activity; (3) Severe physical or psychiatric disorders unsuitable for moderate-intensity exercise; (4) Language/communication barriers impeding questionnaire completion (even with staff assistance); (5) Planned prolonged absence from campus during the study period. Any participant meeting one or more of the above criteria will be excluded.
