Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria for CI in the 3rd edition of the International Classification of Sleep Disorders (ICSD-3) by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine; (2) Age 18–65 years; (3) Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) = 7 points; (4) HAMA Anxiety Self-Rating Scale score = 7 points; (5) Voluntarily participate in this trial and sign the informed consent form; (6) Have not taken benzodiazepines, melatonin, or other related drugs within 1–3 weeks prior to screening (based on elimination half-life).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) People with severe heart, liver, or kidney dysfunction, or pregnant or breastfeeding women, who are not suitable for acupuncture treatment; (2) Those diagnosed with other sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome or restless legs syndrome; (3) Those with a history of traumatic brain injury, brain space-occupying lesions, epilepsy, or metal implants in the head; (4) Those with alcohol or drug dependence; (5) Those who have used sedative-hypnotic drugs or received acupuncture treatment within the past month; (6) Patients who experience fainting from needles or are intolerant to acupuncture; (7) Patients with skin infections or inflammation in the planned acupuncture area.
