Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Western medical diagnosis meets the diagnostic criteria for both stroke and depression; 2) Traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis meets the diagnostic criteria for post-stroke depression; 3) TCM syndrome pattern meets the diagnostic criteria for post-stroke depression with heat depression and Shaoyang disturbing the mind; 4) HAMD-17 scale score between 7-24 indicating mild to moderate depression; 5) Age between 18 and 80 years; 6) Patients receiving Chinese medicine treatment with good compliance; 7) No history of mental illness before onset, and no antidepressant treatment received after onset; 8) Participants or their family members voluntarily participate and sign the informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) No obvious imaging changes of stroke detected; 2) History of mental illness or family history of mental illness; 3) Presence of severe cardiovascular, liver and kidney, hematopoietic system, or endocrine and immune system diseases; 4) Suicide risk assessment scale (Sad Persons) score =7, with obvious suicidal tendencies; 5) Pregnant or breastfeeding women; 6) Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) =21, with moderate to severe cognitive impairment, hearing impairment, or aphasia; 7) Those who do not accept the treatment plan.
