Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. A current diagnosis of major depressive disorder based on DSM-V; 2. 18 to 60 years old; 3. Right-hander; 4. The score of the 24-item Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD-24) is greater than 8 and less than 35; 5. No contraindications to magnetic resonance imaging (e.g., metallic implants, claustrophobia); 6. Psychotropic drug-free-period of at least three months; 7. Voluntarily participating in the research and signing of the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with severe uncontrolled diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, thyroid diseases, etc. 2. Patients with severe visceral diseases or malignant tumors. 3. Patients with other psychiatric disorders, such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. 4. Patients with cognitive impairment (Montreal cognitive assessment score <26). 5. Patients with suicidal behavior or plans. 6. Patients with diseases that affect intracranial vessels or tissues. 7. Pregnant or lactating women. 8. Patients currently participating in other clinical studies.
