Electroacupuncture Group:Point Selection: Based on the theory of "simultaneous treatment of the spleen and stomach" and meridian theory, the following bilateral acupoints are selected. Zusanli (ST36):

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age 18-80 years old. Meets the indications for bariatric surgery (refer to Chinese guidelines: BMI =32.5 kg/m²; or BMI =27.5 kg/m² with metabolic syndrome), planned for elective laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy/laparoscopic gastric bypass. Normal gastrointestinal function preoperatively, with no history of chronic constipation or diarrhea. Voluntarily signed the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with a history of abdominal open surgery or severe intra-abdominal adhesions. Patients who have been on long-term use of opioid medications, prokinetic drugs, or medications affecting gastrointestinal function. Individuals with a pacemaker or other implanted electronic devices (contraindicated for electroacupuncture). Presence of skin infection or damage at the abdominal acupuncture site. Patients with severe cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases, or mental disorders that prevent cooperation.
