65 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Sign an informed consent form and participate in the study voluntarily; 2) Patients undergoing elective laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia; 3) Aged 65 to 85 years; 4) BMI 18 to 30 kg/m²; 5) ASA physical status class II–III for anesthesia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Preoperative presence of neuropsychiatric diseases such as schizophrenia, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, or dementia; 2) Illiteracy, language barriers, or severe hearing or visual impairment that prevents communication; 3) Severe hepatic and renal insufficiency (Child-Pugh Class B and C, creatinine >200 µmol/L); 4) Severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction, such as decompensated heart failure (NYHA class = 3), acute coronary syndrome, or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; 5) Preoperative presence of cerebrovascular disease with obvious symptoms or imaging evidence; 6) Participation in other clinical research projects prior to surgery; 7) Patients with an implanted cardiac pacemaker; 8) Skin damage or infection at the acupoint treatment site.
