Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subjects must meet all of the following four criteria: (1) Meet the diagnostic criteria for idiopathic facial nerve palsy according to both Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine; (2) Have a disease duration of =2 months with residual facial dysfunction; (3) Be of any gender, aged between 18 and 70 years; (4) Be willing to participate in this study and sign the informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects who meet any one of the following criteria will be excluded: (1) Those with central facial paralysis, Ramsay Hunt syndrome, or facial paralysis caused by trauma, surgery, tumor, or other identifiable causes; (2) Those with serious diseases of the cardiovascular or cerebrovascular systems, or with psychiatric disorders; (3) Those with likely poor compliance or fear of acupuncture; (4) Pregnant or breastfeeding women; (5) Those receiving other treatments that may affect the results of this study.
