Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Age: males and females aged 15 to 18; 2) no prior experience in professional sports training, and no regular (=3 sessions per week, =30 minutes of at least moderate-intensity exercise per session) or fragmented exercise habits within the three months prior to enrollment; 3) emotional state meeting the criteria for at least a "mild" level on any dimension of the DASS-21 during baseline assessment (specific criteria: depression subscale =10, anxiety subscale =8, stress subscale =15); 4) informed consent obtained from the participants themselves, their legal guardians, and school administrators, all of whom were fully informed of the study procedures and voluntarily agreed to participate, with written informed consent forms signed accordingly.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) mental disorders: diagnosis of any major mental disorder meeting DSM-5 criteria, currently receiving clinical treatment requiring professional intervention, or assessed as having clear suicidal ideation or behavioral risk; 2) physical diseases: presence of medical contraindications such as severe cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, or acute or severe chronic musculoskeletal injuries that make participation in exercise at the prescribed intensity inadvisable; 3) medication use: regular use of hormonal or any psychotropic medications within the three months prior to enrollment; 4) concurrent interventions: current or prior participation in other structured psychological intervention programs or exercise intervention studies within the two months prior to enrollment; 5) capacity to comply: inability to fully understand the study content or procedures, or to complete assessments and interventions, due to cognitive deficits, language comprehension difficulties, or other reasons.
